Community Outreach
During the Hampton Bay Days Festival each September, FUMC reaches out to the community with food, fun and fellowship. Our Brunswick Stew or Bull Island Clam Chowder and Ham biscuit lunch have become a tradition. Youth and adult members sell hot dogs, water and canned drinks. Children's games, white elephants, plants, baked goods and dunking the pastor are fun activities with an opportunity to witness for Christ.
In November, the United Methodist Women host our Candy Cane Lane Bazaar where baked goods, crafts, artwork, a silent auction and lunch with Christmas music are available to the community. All proceeds from the Bazaar benefit United Methodist Women mission projects.
