Opportunities For Missions...

Appalachia Service Project

Mission teams of youth and adults travel to Appalachia and show the love of Christ by rebuilding homes for the poor.

Camp Rainbow

Volunteers share a week with intellectually challenged adults. Campers have a buddy for the week and experience summer camp, some for the very first time.

Hampton Roads Ecumenical Lodgings and Provisions

HELP supports people in transition to rebuild lives changed by circumstances beyond control. During the winter months, FUMC hosts Nights Welcome by feeding and providing shelter on the coldest nights to folks who would be sleeping on the streets. Website: http://helphouse.org

Heart Havens

Group homes for intellectually challenged adults without family to care for their needs. A new home has just been opened in Newport News. Website: www.hearthavens.org

Transitions and Menchville House

Shelters for battered women and their children in transition.

Youth Projects

Church youth raise funds for World Vision annually by participating in a 30 hour famine. Other various projects are supported for the youth.

Scouting

FUMC sponsors BSA Pack 128. See the link for "Important Dates" to check meeting dates and times.
